Specifications

Root Barriers are manufactured of extruded re-cycled polyethelene. The panels measure 24 inches in width by 12, 18, 24, or 48 inches in depth with a mean thickness of 0.8 inches. Panels are connected by means of a patented design integral male/female sliding lock. Each panel has a male connector at one end and a female connector at the opposite end. The face of the panel shall have no less than four raised single ribs or three pairs of double ribs running from top to bottom of the panel. Each rib or root guide will have an anti-compaction cap at its tip, perpendicular to the rib and parallel to the face of the barrier to form root nuturing channels. The distance between each guide shall not exceed six inches. Panels must be installed with the root guides facing towards the tree root. The top of the panel must not be below finished grade.
